Candle Lit x The Perfume Atelier FAQs & Policies

Please read before booking. By booking, you agree to all policies below.

Candle Lit Atlanta reserves the right to update policies at any time.

Candle-Making Experience

 

How long is the workshop?

The candle-making portion lasts 40–60 minutes. Your candle then needs about 1 hour to solidify.

Can I stay and wait for my candle to cure?

In most cases, no. We must sanitize and reset for the next class, so guests cannot remain in the workshop while candles cure.

Exception: Friday–Sunday 5:00 PM Sip & Scent guests may stay for game night and typically take candles home after the experience.


When do I pick up my candle?

You may return a hour later the same day, before closing, or pick up another day.

48-hour candle pick-up policy

Candles must be picked up within 48 hours of your class. We do not hold candles after 48 hours.

If you have a pick-up issue, contact us ASAP!

Do you ship candles?

We do not offer in-house shipping. You may arrange shipping through FedEx/UPS at your expense.


 

 

Booking + Studio Policies

 

Do you accept walk-ins?

Walk-ins are accepted Mondays only, based on availability. We strongly recommend booking online.

Can I share a seat?

No. Each guest must purchase a seat to enter and participate.

We do not allow anyone to wait inside, watch, or participate without a ticket including parents/guardians.


Do you accept cash?

No. We accept debit/credit cards and contactless payments (Apple Pay, etc.).

What should I wear?

Aprons are provided, but fragrance oils can be tough on fabrics. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid valuables/designer items.


Accessibility note

We are located on a second level and do not have an elevator. Please wear comfortable shoes.


 

 

Food, Drinks + Celebrations

 

Can I bring food/drinks to a regular class?

Daily/public classes: No hot food.

You may bring charcuterie/snacks and beverages (water, soda, beer, wine, liquor, etc.).

Celebrating a birthday during a regular class

You may bring balloons + cupcakes only. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Groups over 10: please contact us at least 1 day in advance.


Private Parties

Private events may include hot food, cake, and beverages. Warmers/silverware are not provided.

Please complete a Private Event Inquiry Form on our website.

Age + BYOB

Are classes BYOB?

 

Yes! The Lit Experience and Sip & Scent are BYOB.

Age requirements

  • The Lit Experience: Ages 10+
    • Ages 10–17 must attend with a participating adult (and may be limited to select class times).
  • Sip & Scent (Fri–Sun 5 PM): 21+ only (ID required)
  • No children under 10 unless otherwise noted.


 

 

Refunds, Rescheduling + Cancellations

 

Refund policy

No refunds. All tickets, promotional pricing, and gift certificates are final sale.


Rescheduling

One-time reschedule only, requested at least 3 days before your class.

Same-day cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for reschedule or refund.

How to reschedule

Email Candlelitatl@yahoo.com at least 3 days prior. Please check the calendar for availability before choosing a new date/time. Responses typically within 72 hours.

 

 

Late Arrival Policy

 

We begin promptly with a 15-minute grace period.

No entry after 15 minutes. Same-day reschedules are at management’s discretion.

Is this a full perfumery course?

No. This is an express, self guided fragrance-making experience for entertainment purposes using a simplified blending process with staff support.

What sizes are available?

Options include 10ml travel spray or 50ml luxury bottle (based on your selection/availability).

Can I test my fragrance during class?

Yes use a blotter strip and/or a light skin test. Fragrance may smell different on skin due to body chemistry.

Allergy + sensitivity notice

Fragrance ingredients may irritate sensitive skin or trigger allergies/asthma. Notify your host of sensitivities and test cautiously.


Do you guarantee exact designer duplicates?

We can create an inspired vibe, but exact matches are not guaranteed.


Final sale

Due to the custom nature of the product, perfume/cologne add-ons are final sale once blended/bottled.
