WORKSHOP FAQ & POLICIES

Please read through the following frequently asked questions and policies before booking a candle making class. Please note, we reserve the right to change our policies at any time.

CAN I SIT IN THE WORKSHOP AND WAIT ON MY CANDLE TO CURE?

Unfortunately we do not allow anyone to wait for their candle to cure as we must sanitize and clean for our next class. Friday and Saturday 5pm class you can stay and guest are able to take their candles home after game night.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
We accept walk-ins on Mondays only but we highly recommend that you make a reservation online to secure your spot for your desired date and time.

DO YOU ACCEPT CASH? NO WE ACCEPT ALL DEBIT AND CC, APPLE PAY ECT.

CAN I SHARE A SEAT?
Each person who attends must pay for a single seat. Parents attending with children must purchase a ticket. Due to the limited size of our workshop space, we do not allow anyone to wait inside, watch or participate in the class without a ticket.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
While we do provide aprons for participants, we recommend that you leave LV, Chanel, Gucci anything of value at home—the fragrance oils that we use can be hard on fabrics! Please wear comfortable shoes we are on a second level. We have no elevator.

HOW LONG WILL THE WORKSHOP LAST?
The candle making portion of the workshop will last 40- 60 mins. Once you've finished, your candle it will take another hour for the candle to solidify. There’s plenty to do while your candle cures, including dining and shopping. If you'd like to take home your candle same day please be sure to come back before we close. You may also come back another day to pick up your candle if you prefer. You will have 2 days to collect your candle.
We do not ship candles.  WE DO NOT HOLD CANDLES AFTER 48 HOURS. Please contact the store asap if you have any problems with pick up.


WE'RE CELEBRATING A SPECIAL OCCASION, CAN I SET UP FOOD AND DRINKS?

No. Unfortunately for our daily classes. We do not allow hot food. You may bring cheese and crackers and any beverages (water, beer, wine, liquor etc) you’d like to drink.

If you are celebrating a bday with us during a regular daily class you may bring BALLOONS AND CUPCAKES ONLY for your friends during our regular workshops. Seating is on a first come basis. Please contact us a day in advance to confirm with staff if you have a large group over 12 people.

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO YOU USE? We use a variety of waxes all natural Soy, Coconut and Paraffin wax.

DO YOU TRAVEL OR HOST PRIVATE EVENTS? Absolutely! Please fill out a private event inquiry form

 

PRIVATE PARTY 
We allow each party to bring hot foods, cake, beer, wine and spirits in our private parties or events only. Silverware is not provided. FILL OUT A PRIVATE PARTY INQUIRY FORM ON OUR SITE FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

ALL CLASSES ARE BYOB: The Lit Experience & Sip &Scent.

The Lit Experience 10 & Up Ages 10-17 may participate in 1pm class time only.
Sip & Scent Fridays & Saturdays 5 pm class 21 & older plus game night (We do check identification)

ARE THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?
No small children allowed at the present time!
Unless otherwise noted. Workshops are suitable for ages 10+ While we'd love to host younger kids, the supplies required for candle making (fragrance oils and hot wax) aren't suitable for a younger crowd. AGES 10-15 may participate in 1pm class times only.

18 and older may attend class without a supervised adult with the exception of Sip and Scent classes.

I BOOKED FOR A DATE THAT I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. YOU ARE OFFERED ONE TIME TO RESCHEDULE AND MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED DATE. SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS/NO SHOWS ARE NOT ALLOWED and will be canceled with NO REFUND AND NO RESCHEDULE.

Please send us a email at Candlelitatl@yahoo.com  (3days) in advance before appointment time and let us know that you can no longer attend and would like to reschedule A Candle Lit representative will be in touch to help you out within 72 hours. Please refer to our cancellation policy below for more details.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CANDLEMAKING WORKSHOPS?

All candle making workshops purchased at regular pricing. promotional pricing and gift certificates are final sale. If you've purchased a workshop ticket online and need to reschedule, it must be made at least 3 days in advance and workshop passes will be given as a credit toward another workshop, you only have one time to reschedule. Same day appointments/No shows cannot be rescheduled.

The undersigned agrees to Candle Lit Atlanta’s cancellation policies and will not dispute the charge for same-day cancellations and no-shows.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PRIVATE PARTIES?
All private parties are final sale. No refunds. No refunds for same day cancellations or no shows
If you can not make your scheduled private party you must contact management 5 days prior to your class. After a hour of your scheduled party time and the host has not arrived or contacted staff YOUR PARTY WILL BE CANCELED WITH NO REFUND OR EXCHANGE. 

If you go over your scheduled party time a $100 fee will be applied to the credit card on file.



I'M RUNNING LATE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
As a courtesy to all our guests, we start our classes promptly at 1:15pm 3:15pm and 5:15pm.

NO LATE ENTRY AFTER 15 minute grace period 

If you or any member of your party is going to be more than 15 minutes late, please reschedule your class for a later date as late arrivals are extremely disruptive to your fellow candle makers. To reschedule your class by email candlelitatl@yahoo.com
